What Daso is

Daso is a purpose-built computer for kids ages 6 to 12. It is designed to help kids read, write, draw, code, and stay connected with the people they love, without turning every spare minute into screen time. It is in development, not shipping yet.

Daso is a computer, not a companion. It is meant to be a tool kids use to make things, learn, and connect with real people.

The idea starts with a simple concern: adult technology was not built around childhood. Banning every device is understandable, but it leaves families negotiating around tools shaped for grown-ups, advertising, and attention.

Parents should be in the room while this is still a question. We need the hopeful, the skeptical, and the tired of negotiating screen rules to say what feels right, what feels wrong, and what would actually help at home.

Early demos

A few demos of what Daso could make possible.

These are early software sketches, not a finished product. They show the kind of calm, kid-first interactions we are exploring.

Format

30-minute online meeting to chat.

Time

Whenever works for you. Mornings, evenings, weekends.

Who it is for

Parents and caregivers of kids ages 6 to 12.

What we will do

Talk plainly about what new computer technology should look like for your kid. Skeptical, curious, and excited parents are all welcome.

I want to hear how your family thinks about screens and AI right now: what's working, what's not, what you're worried about. If you want to try Daso when there's something to try, you'll be the first to know.

About Max

Max Forsey is the founder of Daso.

Before this, Max spent years in Silicon Valley building with AI. He grew up with six brothers and now has nieces and nephews growing up around screens. Daso is what he wants to build for them: a calmer, more intentional computer for childhood.
